La Jolla Cove

My favorite place to photograph!

It doesn’t matter if the tide is high or low, the beach is sandy or rocky, cloudy or sunny. La Jolla cove never fails to deliver the most picture perfect backdrop for engagement photographs.

On this day we got SUPER lucky. The weather this year has definitely not been the typical Sunny San Diego we all know and love. Kelsey and Nate came from Utah and we were really concerned that we might not get the golden hour photos they were looking for while visiting.

When we got there it was still overcast (which I love anyways) but then right as golden hour was coming up, all the clouds disappeared and we got the most beautiful Golden Hour and Sunset on the Beach. Also because it wasn’t supposed to be the best weather, there was almost no one there for a change.

I feel like we couldn’t have gotten any luckier

The other reason I was so excited for this couples photography session, is that in my questionnaire Kelsey and Nate mentioned how they wanted to capture the fun they have together, and that’s my favorite thing. To get together, have fun and take some awesome photos.

While I was culling these photos I instantly know I had WAY TOO MANY favorites. Every part of this shoot was just so fun and it really came through.
