Downtown San Diego Wedding

San Diego has been experiencing the most June Gloom I’ve seen in the five years since I moved here. And while that kind of sucks for a lizard girl like me, it been AMAZING for photos. That super filtered, kind sunlight makes for such flattering photos.

Also. If you do read any of my blog posts, thanks for taking this ride with me…cause me and words are not the best.

Annnnnyyyywayyyyys, back to the point i’m actually trying to talk about

Before this wedding I hadn’t shot a wedding downtown yet. It made an awesome backdrop for the couple photos, but it did come with some challenges I hadn’t faced yet.

There were a lot of other things going on in the area on the day of this wedding. It was pretty distracting before the ceremony, but luckily the DJ killed it and really tuned everything else out. Also when we were doing bridal party photos, people were literally walking right between the bridal party, paying no mind to us taking photos….which I mean, yeah I get….people have places to go, but I had to take significantly more photos than normal to get photos that I could even edit to being not distracting.

All in all, even with these things to consider, this wedding was SO FUN and SU BEAUTIFUL. The ceremony overlooked the bay, and was surrounded by palm trees.

I was so stoked to be able to capture these photos and spend another super special day with some incredible people
