My favorite spot in San Diego

A few weeks ago a couple reached out for me looking for a beachy couples session before she had to leave town. They’re a long distance couple so we really only had one day to get it. With this in mind I knew we had to go to the most stunning place in San Diego…La Jolla Cove.

So Im there a little early, exploring this little beach area like the hobbit I am, and I realize the tide is finally far enough out that I can probably walk over to these awesome caves to the left. Hell yeah. Ive been wanting to do this for the last several times i’ve come here but alas, Mother Nature wasn’t having it those days. The water is far enough out that I can proooobably walk on top of rocks and get over there. So there I am, do do do walking on these rocks and I see this beautiful little pool. Im captivated like. Wow. Can you even believe how clear this water is. These must be the luckiest fishes alive…Annnnd I lose my balance. I can feel myself falling off this rock but I have my camera in my backpack so there’s no freaking way i’m getting it wet. So I twisted to catch myself. And I did, but I did bruise my ankle and cut my foot. So my mission to get over to these caves has been thwarted again. Womp Womp.

Annnnyways J&I got there and we got to it! She had already told me she wanted some photos on top of the rocks overlooking the ocean so we started with that before going down onto the beach. I gave one little promt and they were already so about it. I knew right away I was going to love these photos.

So then we are down on the beach. (Side note: On my questionnaire I ask if you’re open to adventurous poses and they had said yes, so I was stoked.) With the tide out like this there were so many gorgeous rocks and tide pools to play on. When I tell you guys that the Sands Beach at La Jolla cove is the most beautiful place to get sunset pictures. I mean it. Even on my camera with no editing all the photos just looked like a dream.

Anyways that was just a super long winded way to tell you guys that 1. Im too clumsy to be trying to rock hop and 2. you have to check out Sands beach if you get a chance
