Malibu mountain top wedding

Hooooolllllyyy shiiiiiit. That’s the only was I can really begin to talk about this wedding. Because anything other than expletives do no justice to it.

Deena and Jeremy are an artistic couple living in LA, and Deena did the design of their wedding. Color and beauty spilled everrrrryyyywhere at the venue. Deer Creek Ridge is a beautiful estate on the top of a mountain overlooking the ocean in Malibu…a dream, right?! On this Spring day, being so high atop this cliff, we were swallowed by the clouds….even dreamier…right?!!? They chose super vibrant colors for all the flowers (and there were a TON, like more than Ive ever seen). Pinks and oranges popping out everywhere contrasting with the white from the cloud we were in!

So, now that the scene is set and our jaws are on the floor…there were even more super unique details to this wedding. Since the couple are artists, it makes sense that their friends are artists as well. During the ceremony one of the close friends of the couple recited a beautiful poem about the love she had witnessed from D&J. Another friend, with a baby on her hip, sang La Vie en Rose. Then for their first dance (which was my favorite part) they did something Ive never seen before. They had a trio of their close friends sing “their song” after the first kiss, and instead of a traditional exit from the ceremony, they did their first dance. Dancing through the isle on a high from their wedding ceremony. I’ve never seen anything like it, but I hope I do again because it was cinematic to say the least.

This wedding was centered around art and dance. Everything was bespoke, planned to the T to represent the love and vibrance of this marriage.
