La Jolla Air B and B wedding

Okayyyyyy! So I feel like I could write so much about this wedding. To say this was an amazing experience would be an understatement.

So, I got a message on yelp a while back asking for a wedding quote and didn’t hear anything back so I just brushed it off and assumed they went with someone else. Then, three days before the wedding, Bryan reached out to book me. Luckily I was actually free that day! So we figured out everything we could via email and planned for a FaceTime. As soon as we got on the phone I just felt an instant connection with Bryan and his fiancé Ken. We ran through the details and got ready for the weekend.

Two days later, its wedding day! They had told me it was going to be a casual, intimate ceremony at a house in La Jolla, so I assumed it was going to be nice. And it was waaaaay better than nice. The house had huuuuuuuge sliding glass doors to the outside, which was on a cliff looking over the ocean. STUNNINGGGG. There was even a pool in the middle of the ceremony, which wasn’t something I ever thought would be so beautiful, but it was.

I got there, got some detail shots and talked to the family while Bryan and Ken finished getting ready. Once they were ready we went down to the beach for their couple pictures. Both guys looked soooo handsome in their traditional blouses and all white outfits. We were having such a blast, but time flew by and we had to get upstairs.

Im really not sure if they had looked up golden hour and sunset times for that day, but the ceremony was times perfectly to have the sun going down in the background. Another idea they had for their wedding, which I loved, was that they had all of the guests wear all white/cream/tan. I would have never even thought of this, but HOLY cow!! It elevated the vibe, and the pictures by so much.

So they had their wedding ceremony and it was just amazing. Like, the officiant was so goofy, the vows were so sweet, and the love was abundant. By the end of the night, I felt like I was really just hanging out with friends, not working.

Now, while literally everything else about this wedding was flawless, there was one downside. Due to the venue being ad Air B and B, the neighbors did have a lot of complaints about noise, so the party had to be shut down early. Luckily, the group came up with a backup plan to go party at Rich’s but it was still a bummer they couldn’t just have their whole wedding at the house.

I love Ken and Bryan so much, and I think we will definitely be friends for quite a while after this. <3
