Pre-Deployment photoshoot

Being someone in the military myself, when I heard that S&M wanted couple photos taken before he was deploying, I loved the idea. About two years ago I deployed. I had recently started dating my now husband, and was such a sad girl to be away from him and my other loved ones. Like literally every night before I went to sleep I would look through my camera roll just for any ounce of serotonin I could get.

So yeah, I was pretty stoked to get to take some intimate photos that they could both have through the months that they will be away from each other.

Leading up to this shoot the weather in San Diego was terrible. Ive lived here for several years and this is the first year Ive seen anything less than perfect weather. So, the days before it was raining and hailing but we didn’t want to reschedule so we decided to see it through however the weather was. I was shitting my pants a little because I am a huge weenie now when it comes to the cold and rain.

Luckily, day of it was beautiful out. So, we met up at Torrey Pines for this beautiful golden hour. S had told me that she wanted more far away photos so we did that. As the sun was setting and we were wrapping up the couples’ photo shoot they got in the water to get a little bit more sexy of photos.

I went home and started editing pretty much immediately. Since I knew he was deploying so soon, I really wanted to be able to deliver their photos to them before he left.

Hopefully they can cherish these in their time away from each other.
